European space laboratory carried out to be used together with the Space Shuttle, as a result of an agreement stipulated by the European Space Agency (ESA) with NASA in 1973.
The project is of great importance for Europe, not only because it allows participating in the American space shuttle companies, but also because it makes it possible for the ten countries that are part of the ESA, to send astronauts to space and develop a space technology that contemplates the presence of man.
The Spacelab is composed of two main parts: a pressurized module and a pallet, that is, a non-pressurized platform.
