Is called freefall to the normal state of movement of an object in space under the gravitational influence of a central body.

According to this the Earth is in free fall around the Sun, while an artificial satellite beyond the atmosphere is in free fall around the Earth.

As long as a vehicle is in free fall, an astronaut will have no apparent "weight" and will experience the phenomenon of weightlessness.

In a vacuum all bodies, regardless of their shape or mass, fall with the same acceleration in a certain place, close to the earth's surface.

The free fall movement is a uniformly accelerated movement, that is, the instantaneous acceleration is the same at all points of the route and coincides with the average acceleration, and this acceleration is the acceleration of gravity (on Earth, g = 9 , 8 m / s2).

Galileo was the first to experimentally demonstrate that, if the resistance offered by the air is despised, all bodies fall towards Earth with the same acceleration.
