The astronomical data banks that we have today require powerful computers to process them. The data calculation and analysis centers memorize and "cross" the information provided by the various sources and, in this way, help the scientists, facilitating their work.

Today, the information exchange is distributed all over the world, and more and more power and connectivity are needed. If they became books, they would need thousands of libraries. The astronomical data recovery centers are dedicated to recovering data from various sources, organizing and serving them to the scientific community and, to a lesser extent, to the general public.

The center that shows the photograph has a modern computer network and other necessary means for the analysis and treatment of astronomical data.
